Farmhouse Saargau Gisingen

description

brief description:

the lorraine farmhouse dates back to 1735. It has been restored and, today, serves as a rural museum. The interior has, in part, been transformed in order to create a certain museum quality. The ceilings were lowered and the rooms were appointed with historic lorraine furniture. In front of the house: well, stone pavement, old trees. Behind the house: vast herb and spice garden, orchard with bee colonies. The former cow barn and horse stable were transformed into a wedding ceremony room for civil registry office weddings. In addition, what was once a hayloft is now a space with different rooms for art exhibitions, concerts, readings, and conferences.
